Chi vuol esser lieto sia

Chi vuol esser lieto sia

Being able to enjoy the poetry of nature that surrounds us without conditioning, rediscovering the amazement of the "little boy" who lives within us, living the present with due carefree freedom while leaving the imagination free, is the key to understanding and appreciating the works of this two-person .

Matteo Cocci, originally from Prato, graduated in scenography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. He collaborates with Tuscan museum institutions and has exhibited since 2000 as a painter in Italian and foreign galleries using his own technique of execution: he engraves the drawing on surfaces sprinkled with plaster or bitumen and then impresses them on paper, which he then glues on wood with wax , layer upon layer until he considers the finished work.

Michele Fabbricatore is an established Florentine ceramist: two years ago he exhibited here with the exhibition "Fabbricatore tells Italo Calvino" and this year he returns with his ceramics inspired by the themes of nature and literature. As he himself says «In my works I bring together everything I like and am passionate about in a large cauldron: from Calvino to Orlando Furioso, from fairy tales to mythology, all revisited and reinterpreted with an ironic and surreal eye. My mission is to recover the most authentic and virgin part of me, that of the child without conditions and patterns, who looks at the world with amazement and wonder. Relive the gift of enchantment that presides over beauty. Feeding this treasure that we all have inside is a desire and a commitment for my life and I hope that my works always transmit this value».

Landscapes transfigured by dreams, nocturnal, couples who live in castles above the clouds, flying characters of Chagallian inspiration, hot air balloons involve the viewer to the point of projecting him into the world of the two Tuscan artists.
